COLORADO DISC DOGS CELEBRATE
10TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Denver, CO (April 2004) -- The Colorado Disc Dogs proudly announce the
celebration of their 10th year of promoting and supporting Colorado residents
and their canine companions in the sport of canine Frisbee in Colorado.
Colorado Disc Dogs is a group of disc dog enthusiasts who run competitions,
play days and training seminars each year so that Colorado dog owners can
experience the fun of playing FrisbeeŽ with their best friend.
Over the past ten years the Colorado Disc Dogs have become a household name
because of their high-flying performances all over the state of Colorado and
across the nation. They have performed at Denver Broncos halftimes, Colorado
Rapids halftimes, CU basketball halftimes, Colorado Mammoth halftimes and in
many other venues locally, nationwide and overseas. The Colorado Disc Dogs also
frequently perform at community events such as KidSpree, Dog Days of Summer,
The Fire & Ice Festival for the City of Aurora, The Ken Caryl Fall Festival,
The Vail Summer Sports Fest, The El Paso County Fair,
Denver BASE Day Camp, and various elementary schools and libraries throughout
the state.
Among their regular performers are Regional and World Finalists, a National
and International Freestyle Champion, a National Distance Champion, the
six-time State Champion, and many others. They have appeared on ESPN,
espn2, USA Network, Animal Planet, TBS, TNT and many local news spots.
The Colorado Disc Dogs will be hosting their annual Spring Training seminar
on Saturday, May 8, 2004 @ Sheridan Community Park at 3325 W. Oxford Ave in
Englewood. Starting at 1:00 pm. The seminar is open to the public, and the cost is $25
per person or $35 per family. Spring Training will cover how to throw a
Frisbee for your dog, canine welfare, and rules of competition. Please
bring a leash and water for your dog.
Colorado Disc Dogs donates a considerable amount of time each year to
supporting local and national charities and humane organizations. Local
organizations benefited include; Denver Dumb Friends Furry Scurry, Longmont
Humane Society Furry Friends Festival, Maxx Fund Lucky Mutt Strut, Dog Daze
of Summit, Family Tree Women in Crisis shelter, Ft. Collins Fire Hydrant Five,
St. Jude's Children's Hospital, All Breed Rescue Romp in the Park, Table
Mountain Animal Shelter Waggin' Tail Walk, Doggy Olympics, Cheyenne Animal
Shelter, CSU Vet School, Colorado College and Denver FIDOS.
