Incredible! There might be a better word to describe the biggest, most amazing frisbee dog
weekend in Colorado history, but that comes pretty close! 2 days of intense competition,
and even more intense fun! A total of **91** teams came from 8 states to play and compete
on day one, and most of them showed up for day 2 as well -- 52 teams entered the Quadruped.
The Open division was probably one of the most competitive fields ever assembled for a
UFO Major, and the biggest, with 42 teams going after World Cup points. In the end, Bob
Evans and Nick took the top spot, followed by fellow Dallas Dog and Disc club members
Jason Kernodle and Bailey. Todd Duncan and Levi made the trip from Georgia to finish
a respectable third.
The intermediate division had its share of out-of-state folks entering, but they did not
stand a chance against the mighty Colorado teams! The awesome teams of Fred Parks and Kona
and Dave Hale and Shep held off Chris Cabral and Maxx.
In the Novice division, a brand new team moved into the top spot-something that makes
this sport great -- the backyard player being able to come out and achieve something cool
with their dog. Linda Farrar and Chance proved their backyard play was pretty sharp as
they took the gold over Sean Stephens and Dave Miller.
The Quadruped on Sunday was an absolutely amazing event! The Colorado Disc Dogs were
proud to take home hardware in every division!
